Clos de Lavande

"Clos de Lavande" was designed to have a European feel while nestling in small town within Southern California. The house and garden won The Association Lily award for excellence in home and garden design in 2009 and has been featured in "San Diego Home and Garden," the "Union Tribune," "Country French Decorating," "Dream Kitchens" and is in the 2010 spring edition of "Outdoor Rooms".

Fifteen containers of architectural pieces were imported for the home and garden. The roof is covered with re-cycled 100-year-old roof tiles. There is an old castle window in the south courtyard. Old Provencal markers have been used to line the pool, or basin, and other areas of the garden, also the tiles in the cutting garden are terra cotta.

Limestone fragments lead the way to the garden where the free range chickens wander during the day preparing for the delivery of their organic blue eggs.
